I am currently teaching a ‘Captain’s College’-a series of classes for officers and aspiring officers for all SLV departments. I will assist teaching the upcoming Basic Firefighter Academy (BFFA) and help with the Boulder Creek Fire Internship Program. As a lifeguard, and Surf Rescue Swimmer I am genuinely impressed by the dedication of the members of our agency that put their own time and effort into certifying and serving on our Swiftwater Rescue Team.

Scott Bingham: I am a Fire Captain for BLFD. I grew up in Ben Lomond and live on the very street I grew up on 39 years ago. I started with BLFD at 16 years old in 1995. My badge number is 79 and we are now issuing badge 179 and counting for 2018. I am one of the swift water team members.
